By accessing or using Soma ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Soma is an AI-powered nutrition and recipe assistant that provides personalized meal planning, nutrition tracking, recipe suggestions, and dietary guidance. The Service includes web and mobile applications that allow you to interact with AI models, track your food intake, manage recipes, and receive personalized nutrition recommendations.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
  • You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Transmit any harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

5. Health Information Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: The Service provides general nutrition information and recommendations for informational purposes only. It is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

  • Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions regarding a medical condition
  • Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information from the Service
  • The Service does not provide medical diagnoses or treatment recommendations
  • Nutrition and calorie information may vary and should be used as estimates
  • You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on information from the Service

6. Apple HealthKit Integration

If you choose to connect Apple HealthKit to the Service:

  • You grant us permission to read health data from Apple HealthKit
  • We will only access data you explicitly authorize
  • Health data is stored securely and used only to provide nutrition tracking services
  • We do not share your health data with third parties without your explicit consent
  • You can revoke access to HealthKit at any time through your device settings

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Ludvig Hedin (Enskild Firma) and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

  • You retain ownership of content you create or upload (recipes, messages, food logs)
  • By using the Service, you grant us a license to store, process, and display your content
  • You grant us permission to use your content to provide and improve the Service

8. AI Models and Third-Party Services

The Service uses third-party AI models (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, etc.) via OpenRouter to provide AI-powered features. By using these features, you acknowledge:

  • AI responses are generated by third-party providers and may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy or content of AI-generated responses
  • You may provide your own API keys (BYOK) to access AI models directly
  • Your API keys are stored securely and used only as configured

9. Subscription and Payment Terms

  • Some features may require a paid subscription
  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
  • We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with advance notice

10. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

11. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or free from errors. We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue the Service at any time
  • Perform maintenance that may temporarily interrupt service
  • Limit or restrict access to the Service for any reason

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

13. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service will be immediately revoked
  • Your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • You remain responsible for any charges incurred before termination

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with Swedish law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden.
